Gujarat election 2017 ,is this fight for real ?

Gujarat vidhan sabha election for 2017 has been touted as the litmus test for Narendra Modi and specially so by the Congress and Raag Darbaari Journalists . I did a tour of gujarat for three days and unlike of what is being touted as a close fight between congress and BJP , I found that there is no election fervour in Gujarat and specially so in Urban areas . I spoke with tonne of people and hardly anybody knew of the local candidates name as well . In Gujarat its business as usual and Gujaratis are busy in what they are best at business and enjoying life .
Modi is the tallest leader in india and more so in Gujarat and their is no second as well to him . There is no way BJP will loose this election as gujarat model of governance and electioneering of BJP is a well perfected formulae . The BJP team is well oiled they will win this election with 120+ seats . My reason for that is there is no discontent in gujarat's electorate, If there is any than there is no body to encash it . Congress did not projected any credible face who will take on Modi and the ground presence is quite weak . There might be some changes on seat i.e. congress might rest some seats from BJP which it lost on close margin in last election but will also lose some to BJP which it had won last time. BJP in gujarat works like a well disciplined army a classic example is the BJP's HQ . It looks like a corporate office where workers are working to a plan unlike of other party offices which I have seen in the country . Gujarat is predominantly a hindu state and that too a border state with pakistan. Congress and Rahul realised this quite late and electorate has seen the rahul mandir tourism not very positively . With comments from Randeep Singh Surjewala and Mani Shankar Aiyyar also not helping congress .
Memories of communal violence are still quite fresh in lot of electorate's mind and want peace and specially so in urban areas like ahmedabad,Baroda and surat etc atleast thats what I saw in my tour . BJP in the last 22 years have done a lot of work on infrastructure , internal security and general governance . The congress and opposition have been toying with caste arithmetic alliances to break the jinx but that seems to be too little too late because the gap between two is quite huge . The Congress needs to a have a solution within rather importing and imported leaders have'nt worked anywhere .Congress needs to work at ground level,develop local leadership and mobilise its supporter year round and not just during election times . They will have to do that PAN india and just cannot wait for opposition to make mistakes and electorate to throw them out and specially so with Namo and Shah at the helm of the affair . The duo have been replicating the gujarat model country wide . They are developing the organisation at grass root level and making electioneering process centric .The duo have been setting the new rules of electioneering and taking the game to the next level and frankly congress or any other party is suited to give them a serious fight . Since modi had taken over as CM of Gujarat, he has raised his stature above everybody in Gujarat politics that there is no match ,whether within or outside BJP. He has taken to the level where Modi is Gujarat and Gujarat is Modi. Same is the case since he taken over the national scene as well. Even the electorate has connected to this rhetoric and can be seen in serial victories in various state elections.

I see that Gujarat election is infact a non election and is more creation of News channels to get TRP's and running agendas because if they don't than why will people watch News Channel or read newspaper and thus better viewership and infact more revenue . I doubt there will be any surprises on 18th and Himachal and Gujarat will also fall in the lap of BJP and the news channels will than focus on the next states which go on election i.e Karnataka , Chattisgarh , MP and Rajasthan .
