Gujarat poll 2017 ,is there actually a contest



There is a lot of focus in media about the Gujarat poll for 2017 .Every time there is an election in Gujarat the media start hyping it up and try to create a contest . I feel that its a fight between un equals . Congress has never stood a chance in last 22 years since BJP has come to power . Congress in last so many decades has been harping on the communal plank and that rhetoric has failed miserably and infact turned into the favor for NAMO. This time they are trying to run the election campaign on anti Modi, BJP policies like GST/Demonetization and cobble up the Patidar/OBC/SC ST non congress and anti BJP leadership.
There are a couple of basic reasons for my prediction. Congress has not been able to prop a credible leader against the charisma of NAMO when on the contrary Modi raises the bar and his connect with electorate is unmatched. The local state congress leadership and cadre is no match to the might of NAMO and BJP/Sangh cadre .Sonia tried hard to raise the election rhetoric by naming Modi "Maut ka Saudagar" but that also did not worked. Modi and BJP have been going strong year after year and election after election because they have worked harder on almost all the front,be it the policies and implementation or electoral strategy . The Gujarat election is being fought between Modi & congress and congress is no match to the politics of Modi ,at least till now. This time as well the election is between Modi & Congress and there is no change in situation this time as well. The media might be harping that Rupani lacks charisma and Anandi Ben was ineffective ,GST and demonetisation has impacted the businesses etc etc but I strongly feel that electoral politics is about strong leaderships .Since modi had taken over as CM of Gujarat, he has raised his stature above everybody in Gujarat politics that there is no match ,whether within or outside BJP. He has taken to the level where Modi is Gujarat and Gujarat is Modi. Same is the case since he taken over the national scene as well. Even the electorate has connected to this rhetoric and can be seen in serial victories in various state elections.

Its like a game of poker where Modi has a Big Stack and is on a roll right now and to top it up the opponents have lost so many bets that now they have not only small stacks but there cards are also weak. The worst part is Modi raises the bet in every turn making it difficult for the opponents to take him. The Opponents will have to wait for a while till his bad luck takes on him, till that time just pray for his bad luck to come fast.

My prediction is that BJP will get 125+ in Gujarat this time ,ie more than 2/3rd of the majority. It can even go higher but no way its going to be less than 125 seats .

Loksabha '19 till fourth phase ,My take

We are almost midway of the ‘19 general elections of india . The media is overhyping and trying to portray it as a very keenly fought battle between Pro Modi and anti modi parties. From the ground one can hardly find poster banner or other traditional campaign methods . This election is mainly being campaigned using electronic media and social media . Another reason for that is that the elections are in seven phase therefore the election fever subsides after the election are over in the constituency.somehow i also feel that there is no really credible pan indian opposition to NDA . As was touted earlier ,post Karnataka state election , that there might be a combined opposition to take on the might of Modi & NDA but it ended with a whimper .
